The Aldgate team comprises its two partners: Sonia Alvarez and Jaume Bergé. They jointly share more than 50 years of experience in corporate development, private equity and investment banking, in Spain and in international environments.
Sonia Alvarez is one of the partners at Aldgate Capital Partners since its incorporation in 2009. Before, from 2003 and 2009 she worked for a Spanish independent corporate finance boutique and was involved in executing domestic and cross-border transactions. Previously, she worked in corporate development for large multinational groups in Spain, France and Dominican Republic.
Sonia has a BBA and a MBA degree by ESADE in Barcelona. Sonia speaks Spanish, Catalan, French and English. In addition to entrepreurship and investment banking, her other passions include her dog, travelling and food and wine.
Jaume Bergé is one of the partners at Aldgate Capital Partners since its incorporation in 2009. Before, from 2003 and 2009 was one of the partners of a Spanish independent corporate finance boutique and was involved in generating and executing a significant number of domestic and cross-border transactions. Previously, he worked for almost 9 years for Granville Baird in their private equity division in London and Barcelona. He was involved in a number of mid-market and early-stage investments.
Jaume has a BBA and a MBA degree by ESADE in Barcelona and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. Jaume speaks Spanish, Catalan and English. He is married and has two children. In addition to entrepreurship and investment banking, his other passions include golf, skiing, trail running, food and wine.
